| Hickory A strong, open-grained wood. Has flowing grain pattern and dramatic variations in color. Often contains random specks, burls and mineral streaks. |

| Oak Has prominent open grain. Ranges in color from white, yellow and reddish-brown. Red Oak will sometimes ahve green, yellow or black mineral deposit streaks. Can have a closely knit grain to a sweeping arch pattern. |

| Cherry This is an elegant, multi-colored hardwood. It's a pinkish-brown hue with occassional shades of whtie, green, pink or gray. Can have small gum pockets, streaks or pin knots. Naturally darkens with age. |

| Birch A medium-density hardwood. Has a distinct, moderate grain. Can be straight, wavy or curly in pattern. Sapwood is white to creamy yellow. Heartwood ranges from medium or dark brown to reddish-brown. |
